Starting to See Wrinkles on Your Face? One Treatment Option and Tips to Prevent Further Wrinkles

Posted on

If you are starting to see wrinkles on your face you need to start now doing treatments to take them away. Small and fine wrinkles are much easier to treat than wrinkles that are much larger and deeper. Keep reading for information about one treatment option you have known as Microneedling. You will also find information on what you can do to help prevent further wrinkles.

Microneedling

Microneedling is done by a dermatologist, cosmetic surgeon, or plastic surgeon. With this treatment, the doctor uses a dermaroller, which has small needles. They roll the device over your skin and as it goes it pricks your skin. This will cause collagen to regenerate and firm your skin, which will make fine lines and wrinkles disappear. You may have to have the treatment done more than one time if you have a lot of wrinkles on your face. This procedure also helps with other problems, such as acne scars and large pores.

Before the doctor starts the treatment, they will use an anesthetic cream on your face to reduce the pain from the needles. They do this about an hour or so before they start the treatment to give the cream time to numb your skin. After the process, the doctor applies a calming serum to your face.

Wrinkle Prevention

Even though you cannot completely stop wrinkles from appearing on your face there are some things you can do to slow them down. One of the most important things is to make sure you wear sunscreen on your face every single day. If the sun's rays penetrate your skin this can cause your skin aging to accelerate. This is especially true if you are out in the sun a lot. Talk to a dermatologist about the recommended strength you should use in sunscreen.

It is important that you moisturize your skin each morning and each night before you go to bed. Moisturizer is important because it traps moisture in your skin, which can reduce the appearance of fine lines.

See a dermatologist to get a wrinkle cream that you can apply to your face. These creams can help collagen growth which will make fine lines and wrinkles disappear over time. These creams generally have an ingredient known as retinol and getting the cream from a dermatologist works much better than buying an over-the-counter product.

Even if you are considering microneedling, your dermatologist can tell you of other treatment options that can help with wrinkles, such as getting fillers, injections, and laser resurfacing in case you are curious.
